KUTA SANG-AN, Pulacan, Zamboanga del Sur-Three hundred eighty-one privates are now ready to be positioned after successfully completing the three months rigid training of the 1st class Infantry Operations Course (INFOC) held at the Ist Infantry( Tabak ) Division on Monday morning March 9, 2020.
Of the three hundred eighty one privates , twenty seven of them were women.
INFOC was formally known as Jungle Warfare Mountain Operations Course intended for the newly graduated Candidate Soldiers.
The training was conceptualized to add and revised subjects in order to sharpen more their skills and improve the knowledge they have acquired during the basic military training.
The students also demonstrated Pikiti Tersia and Close Quarter Battle, a very significant part of their training that employs a military operations in Urban setting.
Maj. Gen. Gene Ponio, the 1st Infantry Division Commander and the keynote speaker, congratulated the students and thanked the parents, relatives and love-ones who continuously inspire and strengthen the privates.
“This is a very historical event in 1ID. We transformed a world-class soldiers and molded them as professionals”, said Ponio.
“We will continuously train a more disciplined and patriot soldiers to serve the constituents of Western Mindanao”, added Ponio.
