Kauswagan LDN- With the current pace of the COVID pandemic increase in the Philippines, Kauswagan Lanao del Norte has intensified its campaign against the transmission of COVID-19 deceases.
According to Municipal Mayor’s Office Head Enforcer, Rondo L. Basco, their office ensures the proper adherence and intensification of the campaign against COVID-19.
Basco directs the implementation of ordinances regarding traffic policy, curfews and other human movement. “The LGU is also working with the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines to maintain “peace and order.” Said Basco
“About twenty-five staff were deployed to coastal barangays for “one-on-one discussions” with residents about COVID-19 in collaboration with Barangay Health Emergency Teams or BHERTS. In sum, the locals peacefully abide the ordinances enacted by the said Municipality.” He added.
Mayor Rommel Arnado yesterday signed Executive Orders, ordering the temporary closure of the “Longest Boardwalk” which is a famous spot visited by local tourists and visitors every night. Curfew is also in effect beginning yesterday from 10pm to 4am.
Meanwhile, Barangay Bagumbayan Chairman, Cresencio L. Pacatang also confirmed the intense campaign against COVID-19 in his village.
According to him, fourteen persons are under monitoring or PUMs in his village are “closely monitored” and he also revealed that his village is currently negative for COVID-19.
Accordingly, the Municipal Health Office reported that there are 80 monitored PUMs based on the BHERTs database.
DR. Dale Laguerta advises residents to coordinate with their respective BHERT teams in their respective barangays to ensure the tracking and monitoring of residents traveling to Metro Manila, Central and overseas. (now-pinay)
